It is the only province in Canada with artificial boundaries, and is also completely landlocked. It produces more than 54 percent of Canada's wheat crop. Potash is the official mineral of Saskatchewan. They are the world's largest producer and exporter of potash. Curling is the official sport, has a single time zone and no daylight saving time. It is bordered on the west by Alberta, on the north by the Northwest Territories, on the east by Manitoba, and on the south by the U.S. states of Montana and North Dakota.

Batoche National Historic Site

Located between Prince Albert and Saskatoon, it was the site of the historic Battle of Batoche during the Northwest Rebellion of 1885. The battle resulted in the defeat of Louis Riel and his Métis forces by Major General Frederick Middleton and his Northwest Field Force.

The Qu'Appelle valley

It stretches from west to east across southern Saskatchewan . Its westernmost origins are now flooded under the Qu'Appelle arm of Lake Diefenbaker. It is a major continental waterway and a corridor to the Great Plains. Formed during the melting of the last glaciers.

Prince Albert National Park

This place is notable for the only herd of wild plains bison in Canada that still occupies its ancestral territory. It is 3874 square kilometers in central Saskatchewan, Canada, and is located 200 kilometers north of Saskatoon.
