Discover Montreal by bike
This time I will talk about Montreal, as it is where I have spent the last few years in Canada. This city has 645 kilometers of bike paths (and they are still building more) which makes it one of the most convenient cities in North America for cycling . Discover the different areas of Montreal, many of them have exclusive bike paths, such as: the Old Port, along the Lachine Canal, Downtown, the Plateau-Mont-Royal and so on.
Many people have their own bicycle, but an alternative for those who don't is to rent one from the company Bixi. They offer rentals for one way, one day, three days, one month and up to one year . One of the many advantages of this service is that you can pick up the bike at one point and drop it off at another, so if you decide to go by bike to any destination, you can choose to return by another means of transportation without worrying about parking your bike or if you are too tired to return . The year pass is worth it, because you can have unlimited use (conditions apply) and it is very convenient especially if you live near a bike path.
During the summer, pedaling through the city is an unforgettable experience, if you live here or plan to come, I recommend it 100%, but remember to always comply with traffic regulations and wear a helmet.
