Canadian government announces details of parent and grandparent sponsorship program.
However, yesterday the Government of Canada announced that they will be accepting expressions of interest between October 13 and November 3 to admit 10,000 parents and grandparents of permanent residents and Canadian citizens this 2020, and I will certainly be applying to bring my mom and grandparents here so that she and I can become Canadian permanent residents.If you also want to bring your parents or grandparents, remember that we offer the service of applying to this process and later if you receive the invitation to apply, we will take care of applying for permanent residency.
Main requirements:
- Living in Canada
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act.
- To sponsor parents/grandparents, you need to show proof of support funds and copies of your tax returns for the last 3 years showing an income according to the minimum income threshold set by the Canadian government. This figure is currently under review, but you can use the values in the following tables as tentative and reference figures.
