To check if a person is licensed by the Canadian government to represent or advise you on immigration matters, he or she must be a member of the ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council) . This is a national body that oversees regulated immigration professionals and was created by the Canadian government to protect consumers who obtain their services.

In order to become a member of ICCRC each year you must pay a membership fee, but first you must study for a year in an educational institution, and then take an exam which, if passed, will finally give you the license.

If you wish to verify if a person is an ICCRC member you can follow the steps below:

  1. Visit: https://iccrc-crcic.ca/find-a-professional-frame/
  2. Put name and surname of the consultant, you can try with mine: Eddy Ramirez. If you know the RCIC # you can also search that way.
  3. Click on Search
  4. Verify that the consultant status is active as shown in the image below:

Immiland Canada has several ICCRC members which allows us to represent you before any procedure with the Canadian government. We are regulated by this entity, so its members know that any misconduct that is reported may cause a reprimand or even the loss of the license. That is why you can trust us to handle your process ethically and as if it were our own. Would you like to schedule an immigration consultation?
