Canada will accept whole families for work
Excellent news for families accompanying international students or temporary foreign workers. The Canadian Government has just informed that as of January 2023 it will authorize dependents of international workers on any NOC-TEER to apply for open work visas. This includes partners and children of working age.
Currently, this benefit only existed for pairs of workers in qualified positions (NOC 0 A or B).
This new measure will be implemented starting January 2023 in three stages. Starting with the children of high wage workers, then with partners and children of low wage workers and finally with partners and children of agricultural workers.
This opportunity will undoubtedly open the door to thousands of families who are looking for an economic and employment benefit and at the same time will benefit thousands of Canadian employers who are facing problems getting the talent they are looking for in Canada.
It is important to remember that this policy does not benefit international students and their children, nor does it benefit language course students.
Likewise, workers must follow the regular job search process and depending on their nationality and position, their employer must apply for a positive LMIA or exception to it.
If this measure applies to your case, Immiland is ready to support you in the new work visa applications. You can hire our services.
