Sponsor the couple in or out of Canada

There is an immigration pathway in Canada that offers permanent residency for the couple, it is called Sponsorship , a door that opens IRCC so they can build their future together in this beautiful country and also has good benefits.
Today I will explain the two ways to become a sponsor of your spouse or partner. Read this article to the end with the pros and cons of each and make a good decision together. Let's get started!
What is sponsorship?
Sponsorship is an immigration resource that involves a commitment to financially cover the basic needs of your family members and/or dependent children, including spouses and common-law partners, in exchange for them living, studying and/or working in Canada, which gives them the opportunity to become permanent residents.
There are two ways of sponsorship
This process can be done in two very different ways, although both have in common that they will lead to permanent residency, let's look at the two scenarios:
Within Canada(inland)
A possible scenario is when the applicant is already in Canada as a tourist, student or worker and meets the love of his or her life, who is Canadian or a permanent resident in this country; then, they establish a serious relationship, get married or decide to live together and seek to apply for sponsorship, this form is known as inland and brings very good benefits to the applicant couple.
Outside Canada(outland)
The second scenario is when the applicant applies abroad. For example, you are in any country and you meet the love of your life, who is Canadian or a permanent resident, and you get married, then you can apply as a foreigner for permanent residence by sponsorship, as long as you can demonstrate that you have a plan to travel to Canada and stay once you are a permanent resident.
Both ways(inland and outland) are very advantageous, but they have their pros and cons and depending on them you can choose the best option.
Pros and cons
Sponsorship(inland) within Canada
Inland sponsorship provides an opportunity for the sponsored couple to apply for an open work permit to work while awaiting a response for permanent residency.
When the work permit is open, they are free to choose the Canadian employer, position and province that best suits them, unlike closed work permits, which are tied to a single employer. In addition, it is not necessary to have a job offer or a positive Labor Market Impact Assessment(LMIA) to be eligible.
Another benefit is that Canada recognizes same-gender couples for sponsorship.
But not everything is positive, there are also setbacks when applying for sponsorship within Canada, since the process can take up to 12 months, and in the meantime you and your loved one must overcome multiple challenges ranging from sustaining yourself economically in a sustainable way, to maintaining a healthy relationship and true affection, maintaining a healthy and truly loving relationship, since, if there is a breakup during this wait, then there is no possibility of permanent residency and it is important to highlight that, if the only reason for being in a couple is to benefit from the immigration system, the application can be denied and this constitutes immediate fraud.
Sponsorship(outland) outside Canada
One of the biggest advantages when the couple applies outland is the time, because it is much shorter than when applying inland. In short, the process is processed faster, because the idea is that they travel to Canada and be together in this country.
In these cases, same-gender couples also benefit from applying for sponsorship and having each other in less time than they expect.
However, not everything is rosy, the couple abroad will NOT be able to apply for an open work permit, so the process outside Canada involves preserving a good management of the family economy.
Who has the final say to apply inland or outland?
After learning about the two ways to apply and placing yourself in both scenarios, it is best to evaluate together your circumstances in terms of time and the possibility of applying for an Open Work Permit, only you will have the last word on what is best for the family unit.
Always remember that emigrating is not easy and that traveling with the warmth of your partner will always give you security and guarantees of a better life experience, love and mutual support. Canada is very receptive, but it is up to the couple to sit down and build an adequate and reliable travel plan that adds love and stability to the relationship and does not put them at unnecessary risk, as unfortunately happens by not planning well.
Up to here I accompany you with this topic. I hope you can make a good decision.
