Affidavit ANCHOR Affidavit of a relative in Canada
Do you wish to apply for the Humanitarian Permanent Residency plan in Canada and need a letter of support for your initiative?
This plan only applies to the following people. If you are not on this list please do not schedule this appointment as you are not eligible:
- Have a family member in Canada who is a permanent resident or citizen over 18 years of age living in Canada and outside the province of Quebec,
- The family relationship must be: spouse, common-law partner, child (regardless of age), grandchild, grandparent, parent, grandparent or sibling of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is willing and eligible to support your application (a "support person"). This person must not owe any debt to IRCC or be in prison.
Benefits of this affidavit
- Complies with the requirements of IMM 5990 of Canada.
- It creates greater confidence in your application for a visitor's visa, since it is a sworn statement by a commissioner authorized by the Canadian government.
