How to apply for the SIN number?

This is a strictly personal procedure, but we will guide you on how to do it.

To process the SIN Number you must go to a Service Canada Centre office nearest you. You can enter your postal code in a search engine to find the nearest one. No matter what city in Canada you live in, you are sure to find one nearby.
There is no need to request an appointment, you just show up at the place, show your passport and your visa(the originals, as they do not accept copies), if everything is in order, the same day you can have your SIN Number printed on a sheet of paper. And best of all, the process is totally free!
