Eddy Ramirez

Eddy Ramirez is a Canadian immigration lawyer admitted to practice in both Ontario and Quebec, with years of experience practicing immigration and administrative law. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and also holds a special permit from the Barreau du Québec as a Canadian Legal Advisor (conseillère juridique canadienne – c.j.c.).
Born in Venezuela, Eddy earned her law degree from the Catholic University and is also a member of the Venezuelan Bar Association.
Shelater continued her legal education in Canada at the Université de Montréal, where she earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business Law and a second LL.M. in North American Common Law. She also received a diploma in Immigration Law from LaSalle College in Montréal.
Eddy’s practice focuses on complex immigration litigation and administrative law matters, including:
- Judicial Reviews before the Federal Court of Canada
- Mandamus applications against Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
- Appeals and reconsideration of immigration decisions
As part of her litigation practice, Eddy also represents clients in professional negligence claims arising from immigration matters, including civil actions against consultants or representatives whose conduct has caused immigration-related harm or financial loss.
