An Affidavit of Host is an affidavit used to invite a family member to Canada on a temporary basis on a visitor's visa. This statement does not necessarily mean that you are legally responsible for the family member you are inviting once you arrive in Canada. Simply put, this service is offered to applicants who have a family member who can host them during their visit to Canada.
However, this Affidavit is not mandatory for all types of visitor visas, but it is mandatory to apply for supervision or sponsorship.
