Reasons to make your immigration case as a team

Achieving permanent residency (PR) in Canada has become the most coveted goal of Latino immigration in 2025, but many foreigners have expressed frustration over multiple visa rejections and say they are confused and don't know exactly what they are doing wrong.

What's happening is simple: the idea of "going it alone" often leads to common application mistakes or causes them to overlook immigration programs for which they qualify, but because they don't know about them, they can't take advantage of them.

So the solution is to stop struggling alone with the more than 100 programs that the country offers and start a real teamwork. How? With the guidance of immigration professionals. In this blog, I explain more details. Let's get started!

More than 100 programs in Canadian immigration: a fight against the current!

Although it may seem exaggerated, yes, the sum of all migration pathways exceeds 100 programs. This is due to the decentralization of the Canadian system, which combines federal initiatives with provincial and territorial pathways.

To give you a better understanding of why you are so frustrated at not finding your permanent status in a timely manner, I explain how this count is structured:

  1. Canada has federal pathways (approx. 10), which include the 3 Express Entry programs (CEC, FSWP, FSTP), the Family Class programs and pilot programs such as Start-Up Visa and Agri-Food Pilot.
  2. It has provincial streams (over 90), where the number grows exponentially, as Canada has 9 provinces and 2 territories and these are active in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). In turn, each of these PNPs offers between 6 and 10 streams or specific nomination categories.

For example, a province may have one category for international graduates, another for health care workers, another for technology workers, and another for the PNP aligned with Express Entry. How could a foreigner know so many alternatives and on top of that know the legal processes with specific waiting times for each program? It's very difficult!

Multiplying the provinces by the number of categories, the total number of eligibility pathways exceeds more than 100 programs. Sometimes immigrants qualify for more than one and do not know it, thus missing a wonderful opportunity to get their permanent residency faster.

Success for PR lies in the strategic plan and up-to-date legal knowledge

From professional experience, I have seen many candidates spend up to two and three years trying to enter through the Federal Skilled Worker or Canadian Experience Class, to give an example, without realizing that their profile still does not meet the Express Entry cut-off score. When they first come to our office, we confirm that they were applying to the least suitable program for their profile.

There are those who are perfectly fluent in French and don't even know that they can enter through the French-speaking category of Express Entry or the Mobilité Francophone program! Not everyone qualifies equally for the same thing, the key is to find the perfect immigration program for your profile. It is unique and built for you.
